Shakti Mat Ethical Manufacturing

Ethical & Fair Trade Factory

Our world should feel better from the ecologically-based manufacturing methods that are employed by Shakti.

Every aspect involved with the company, products, and services should be filled with the happiness and love that Shakti feels for the world around us.

In the holy city of Varanasi in India, they run a project called "The Shakti Temple-Factory" where women work for good wages and with good working hours. They employ a cook who makes food for all of their co-workers. Everyone receives sick pay. Doctors visit the factory regularly and offer free healthcare to their employees and their families, as well as to the people in the neighbourhood.

The model factory is designed using the principles of Vastu Shastra to create a harmonious and relaxed atmosphere. Vastu Shastra is an ancient design system from which Feng Shui drew its origins. Two other manufacturing facilities are now needed to handle the demand worldwide. These are being brought to the same standard and style as the original "Temple" factory in Varanasi.

Say No To Child Labour

Of course, there is no child labour in any of the Team Shakti factories.

Aid Contribututions From Each Mat Sold

We believe that no one person can do everything; however, everyone can do something. That’s why Team Shakti also supports an orphanage in Rishikesh, as well as contribute to projects and the planting of trees in Africa. YOU are an important part of these contributions.

Customer Comments

Maria King-Bäck, radiology nurse:

"After 10 minutes on the mat, I sleep soundly. Then I wake up after an hour and remove the mat. It gives wonderful relaxation to the muscles. When I lie on the Shakti Mat, I am allowed to be left in peace, which is a pleasant rarity. It is precious time that, as a mother, I don't otherwise get."
